How to Brighten Your Fall Table

Vintage Lace Candle Holders 2

Last year I shared the table setting I did for Thanksgiving.

Fall Dining Room 023

When looking back through, I realized that I never shared the vintage lace candle holders I completed.

The project could not have been easier and adding a little bit of candlelight can really make a table setting work, so I thought I would share it with you today.

Besides, who doesn’t look better in candlelight?

Vintage Lace Candle Holders

I used various sizes of mason jars, cut the lace down to size, layered the two types and put a dab of hot glue to hold it in place.  The glue can be removed from the jar if you want to use it for other purposes in the future.  I placed a votive candle inside – easy, peasy, done!

The lace I had was vintage, but it certainly doesn’t need to be.  Any types of lace trim could create a similar effect.

I also did some with just one type of lace right onto a votive candle.

(Of course, please do be careful with candles.  I used mason jars because they manage heat well but make sure the lace is not too high, and of course – never leave a candle unattended!)

  1. Your creativity is awesome. God has blessed you. Love this idea, simple but elegant & I have some great lace to use. Thanks too for yesterday, I only started reading blogs toward the end of the year so really enjoy things from previous years. That fluffy owl in the mirror mantel, how cute is that? Is it a recent acquisition? Also love your black crows! You do hearth & home so well.
